Day 3 feed back  24 THE  ON NOV 2013 – all players had one comment – yes all had one to say greens are good. Well done RCGC  . With  this appreciation comes  the enormous responsibility of retaining the evolved greens and giving even better speed  like minimum 9  up to 10 normal days. 12 competition days. Zen Dharmaratne -35 th ranked rookie in fastest growing Professional tour

Zen Dharmaratne  -35 th ranked rookie in fastest growing Professional tour .Shive  Das managing editor of Golf Malaysia  writes on the rookie Zen Aiming (really) high. AS published in Golf Malaysia
Zen Dharmaratne -22 turned pro on his first attempt this year Feb having Qualified in PGM  tour Q school  with a horrible start missing cuts in the first few events Probably due to different condition from where he spend bulk of his time needling with the rudiments of the Golf  the Royal Colombo Golf Club. Early missed cuts  did not deter the rookie but bounce since then to make the cuts and earning a ranking around  35 th  in the tour. “My aim is to be Malaysian No 1 European No 1”He seems to be getting too far ahead of himself but he brings himself down to earth by admitting that it is   not going to happen overnight. It’s going to be long hard haul. He says aiming that high means he will not seetle for the  second best if he can help it. At least then even if he could end up at top 10, top2…

Malaysian Pros talk to Damaru Golf Why unable tro match even Thai Golfers

PGM Tour players answer! Answers to questions by DAMARU GOLF on why we the Malaysians  are not even near Thai players. On the sidelines of the CIMB CLASSIC 2013 at KLGCC. The two who played and others who were on the sidelines have something in common. Some grievances worthy of looking at are as follows: 1. No course to practice. 240+ clubs in Malaysia and most do not allow. The few clubs that do allow (including the home club Kinara insist on using a buggy. Walking is part of the game for professionals golfers; using the buggy defeats the purpose of practicing. Even when the course is empty, no course allows at any time to play repeat shots or to practice the short game which includes approach shots to the green and then putting and repeating such practice with a few balls. Further we have no greens at a stimp-meter reading of 11.5 to putt. These professional golfers practice and play on greens that have a speed of 8-9 while foreign players have putting greens at 11.5 for practice and pl…
