PRIMA SUNRISE BREAD “Regional Junior Open Golf C'ship  in Trincomalee”- 9^th – 10^th  November - 2013

For the  first time the Sri Lanka Golf Union  is introducing Regional Junior open  Golf event  to foster talent not only in Sri Lanka  but for the region .This event will pave way for  talent scouting for representation at National level At the same time giving the kids a taste of real competition at an early age. Thanks energetic  ' ana' the   man who steered Sri Lanka cricket to.....

The main sponsor of Junior Golf Tournament is  'Prima Sunrise Bread' ,Who willingly partnered with the Sri Lanka Golf Union to make the event a reality . The inaugural Tournament was held at the picturesque Victoria Golf and Country Resort , Digana. This the second Tournament Scheduled for the year is to be played at the newly constructed Eagles’ Golf Links, China Bay Trincomalee.

The Tournament will be played over two days and will comprise of three age groups namely;age groups 15-17 years (Gold Division) age groups 11-14 years (Silver Division) and age groups 10 years and under (Bronze Division).

The Tournament will be open to both boys and girls under the respective age group categories. Most of winners of the first Tournament are competing for top Honors at Eagles’ Links Golf course which would be Challenging for the Juniors. However we are likely to see the like of Zaffar Srikkandar, Ishan Dilranga, Dhanaranjan , Armand Flamer Caldera, Ishira Fernando, Arvind Hirdaramani, Vindo Weerasinghe and Shemani Jagoda battle it out for top honours among the senior age group categories. The Junior segment to see fresh talent blossoming with the likes of Kyle Perera,  Godfrey brothers , Mahisha Hirushan and Sathsara Dilshan taking to the field.
