NEGC  of in Sri Lanka is  indeed a formidable performance. Why babies - well Navy started the game recently with rudimentary facilities of golf in comparison to  centuries old Golf Clubs in Sri lanka.Yet they performed, beating  grand fathers of Golf in Sri Lanka.Unlike  in, more   seasoned Golf clubs, members of Navy came from less developed cities .  in the island not knowing what the game of golf is, till they took the club when Navy opened  their own Golf Course- ThankS to
Admiral W.K.J Karannagoda an avid golfer then
Navy and Air force started golf during Much Loved Sporting President Rajapaksa who blessed  cricket, rugby, soccer, motor racing and even building parks in the city encouraging the nation  to be healthy..

It is Gotabaya then  defence secretary a golfer himself encouraged forces to start the game of golf. So resulted in  three new Golf courses in Trincomalee, Anuradhapura. giving opportunity to villages of  the less privileged to start the game.Even the current six  star Shangri La was initiated by the President Rajapakse.

DAMARU GOLF has little doubt like  cricket, future of golf in sri lanka will lie in the village purley due the healthy stature of the lads coming from the villages.Supported with less complicated life style.
